The first blogger comes from Beira, Mosambik- isn’t that great ? I’m several thousand kilometres away but the electronic media give me the possibility to learn about the newly founded institute of the UN in Dresden. I was so positively surprised as this represents a link between the country where I was born and grew up and I’m presently working for an organization of development assistance and the country I am now a citizen of as I studied in Germany. At work in the communities in the Mozambican province Sofala I am constantly confronted with the lack of knowledge of reasonable management of natural resources. Therefore capacity building is one of my main tasks in the Zambezi region at the present. I am interested in the results of your recently finished workshop and the scheduled work of your institute and would like to get some information about that. Up to the 17th December I am staying in Mozambique before I’m coming for Christmas holidays to my family in Dresden. I would be very pleased to get into contact with you to analyse possibilities of networking.
Best regards from the really hot Beira to the probably cold Dresden.
Dr. Jaime Cossa
